VALENTIN is proud to have taken part in Bâtir pour le Climat 2025, the flagship event for sustainable construction and the low-carbon transition — a true annual meeting to explore the solutions transforming the sector and to engage with key industry stakeholders.

Charles Valentin, CEO of VALENTIN, answered several questions on how the company is transforming its entire production process to embrace more sustainable and responsible development.

Here is a summary of his presentation:

“Hello, I'm Charles Valentin, CEO of VALENTIN, an SME that has been designing and manufacturing sanitary drainage systems in the Hauts-de-France region since 1944.

1 – What are your key solutions for reducing the construction sector’s carbon footprint?

Our core business is plastics engineering, which means material sourcing is a major challenge for us. By early 2026, all our drainage systems will be manufactured using recycled plastic, and packaged either in stitched kraft paper pouches or recycled plastic. This range will be called GOODPRINT.
Our goal is simple: reduce our carbon footprint without compromising performance or durability.

2 – What developments are shaping the sustainable bathroom sector?

We are seeing clear market expectations focusing on three pillars:

  • Eco-design: products manufactured using recycled materials

  • Easy and quick repairability

  • Data transparency and improved product traceability

Our vision is that sanitary systems should be a discreet yet decisive lever for improving the environmental performance of buildings.

3 – Why attend Bâtir pour le Climat?

Because the transition must be collective. Today, we offer ready-to-deploy, large-scale solutions for project managers, engineering firms, installers, and distributors, enabling us to build for the climate together."
