VALENTIN reduces its environmental impact by controlling its energy and water consumption.

Energy consumption

Since 2019, the company has been gradually renewing its machinery. The 25 hydraulic injection presses are gradually being replaced by a new generation of electric injection presses.

Thanks to its new less energy-consuming electric presses (average consumption of 0.28 Kw/h/kg), the company achieves 30% savings compared to its old hydraulic presses.

Productivity has also improved, with optimized quality and refined precision.

To date, the company has replaced 6 machines (2 in 2019, 2 in 2020, 2 in 2023) and will continue the transition year after year.

Furthermore, all the bulbs have been changed to LEDs. In total, this represents 300 lamps for a budget of over 60,000 euros.

Thanks to this system, very little electricity is consumed for excellent light output. The lighting power is adapted depending on whether it is a storage place (70 watts), circulation (140 watts) or a workstation (170 watts). The system is programmable based on hours of presence and/or motion detection.

Water consumption

The testing laboratory operates in a closed circuit for water and timed taps have been installed throughout the factory: annual water consumption has decreased by 42% in 2022 vs 2021.
